Wednesday, September 1st

  • Learn the art of fusing glass to create one-of-a- kind pendants, earrings, and pins. Each student will make five different pieces plus learn to wire wrap and attach bindings to complete them. Visit www.amberwavesofglass.com for examples.

Saturday, September 4th

  • Stop be the Cazenovia Farmer's Market and enjoy a seasonal open-air market in the heart of the historic business district. Featuring locally grown produce and handmade arts and crafts. Presented by the Historic Business District Committee of the Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce. Open 9am-4pm in Cannon Park.
  • A Farmer's Market will also be held on Hamilton from 9am - 3pm on the village Green.

Sunday, September 5th

  • Enjoy the outdoors and take part in "Beginning Backpacking Essentials".  The class includes two 2-hour classroom sessions and a day hike with packs on the Cazenovia Gorge Trail. Classroom topics include pre-trip planning, what to wear, boots, gear selection (packs, tents, sleeping bags, filters, stoves, and more), food selection, basic wilderness first aid, leave no trace, what to pack, and more.  To sign up for this class, visit www.cazenovia.edu or call 655-7288.

Saturday, September 11th

  • Did you just buy a digital camera and have no idea how to use it?  This workshop is designed for users of basic point-andshoot style digital cameras. Students will become familiar with the camera’s features and how to use them to create desired results. The workshop will begin with an overview of the camera features and functions, followed by a discussion of how to avoid common photographic errors and make your images better.   • Madison County Historical Society will host it’s 46th Annual Craft Days at the society, 435 Main Street in Oneida, on Saturday, September 11th, 10 am-5 pm and on Sunday, September 12th, 10 am- 4 pm. Admission is $4 for adults, children 12 and under are free. Purchase a weekend passes for $6 and join us both days! A free park and ride service will be provided in a new location at the Oneida Shopping Plaza on North Main Street in Oneida. Watch as crafters demonstrate their art and purchase your very own handmade items from them. Enjoy delicious food and great entertainment.

Saturday, September 18th

  • The Madison County Hop Fest returns.  From12-2 pm join them for the Taste of Hops: a food & beer pairing featuring appetizers and confectionery delights from local restaurants. From 2:30-5:30 pm, join them under the beer tent for brewery samplings from some of your favorite craft breweries- Landmark, Cooperstown, Ithaca, Saranac, LongTrail, Middle Ages, High Falls, Ommegang, Magic Hat, Flying Bison, Butternuts, Brooklyn Lager, Smuttynose, DogFish Head, Southern Tier and more! There will be over 40 styles of craft beer to sample. Throughout the afternoon purchase your raffle tickets to win great beer related merchandise.
